Show NEW STRIKE IN HUB. Lorin Morrison 'has returned from a stormy trip to the properties operated by him and his brothers in Beaver county, known as the Indian Queen. In Beaver county, Morrison states, there are a number num-ber of prominent mining engineers who represent some of the largest mining operators op-erators In the East, and some who have been sent down by Montana and Michigan Michi-gan mine-owners. The cause of all this Inquiry by mining men Is the big showing show-ing of the high-grade red metal made In the Cactus properties, which copper-producing owners in every part of the world have heard about. This marvelous wealth, which Is improving all the time In the Cactus, has made these other operators op-erators see the necessity of getting Into the camp in the early stages of development develop-ment and securing a slice of that region re-gion before the minerals . have been blocked out to such an extent that the prices will have risen to values out of reach of every corporation not In a position po-sition to shell out millions In cash. Morrison states that new developments are occurring almost dally In various parts of the camp. On his own property he is sacking ores to be sent to the market mar-ket as fast as transportation facilities can be provided. Other companies are contributing regularly to the market, including, in-cluding, besides the big fellows, the Talisman, Cedar, Burning Moscow and a number of others. The latest sensation of the camp is the new strike that has been made In the Hub properties, which adjoin the Burning Burn-ing Moscow. This ground has responded handsomely to the efforts put forth under un-der the management of Daniel Ferguson, who is acting in the double role of managing man-aging both the Burning Moscow and the Hub. A full breast of ore has been uncovered un-covered In the face of the Hub tunnel, which shows silver and lead values of $60 to $70 a ton. The company will make arrangements to ship as rapidly as the ore can bo stoped. |
