Show PIONEER DIES IN LOS ANGELES Mrs. Julia A. Kimball, a Resident of This City Since 1850, Succumbs at Age of 69. Mrs. Julia Jl. kimball, one of the best known women of this city and State, and a pioneer, died Sunday morning morn-ing in the Herchy Arms hotel, Los Angeles. An-geles. With her were her brother, Henry W. Lawrence, and his wife, of this city; a daughter, Miss Blanche Kimball, and a niece, Dr. Luella P. ' Miles of this city. Theso, together with Mrs. Tlorence Kimball Woodruff of Salt Lake City, survive. Since the sale of her propertv at Fourth South and Main streets to Samuel Sam-uel Newbonse, the aged woman had failed rapidly. . A few weeks ago she went to Los Angeles to recuperate, but went into a state of decline, from which she failed to recover. - Mrs. Kimball was born in Toronto, January 3, 1838, and came to Salt Lake City with her parents in 1850. The f amfly always took a prominent Jiart in the affairs of Utah, and the ate Mr. Kimball was one of the leading merchants of Salt Lake City for years. Funeral arrangements - will be 'made upon the arrival of the body from the coast, either Thursdav or Friday. Services Ser-vices will probably be held in the Lawrence home in North Main street. |
