Show MINING NOTES. President E. T. Patrick of the Goldfleld Gold-fleld stock and exchange board, the new stock organisation of Goldfleld, Is a visitor at the local mining exchange. Ore and bullion settlements yesterday, according to McCornlck A Co., amounted to $80,000, divided as follows; Silver, lead, gold and copper ores, $10,000; base buUion, $70,000. John A. Kirby, the mining engineer and operator, has returned to his home in this city after a few weeks round-up of the Nevada camps, and will make a trip to Aha as soon as the roads will permit. per-mit. James Chtpman, who Is one of the heaviest holders o( Uncle Sam Consolidated Consoli-dated stock, has returned from an Inspection In-spection of that property at Tintlc, and is very much pleased with the Immense ore bodies uncovered. - E. C. Coffin has returned from an Inspection In-spection of the May Day at Tintlc, and says that he is convinced from what he has seen that this is one of the coming producers of the Eureka camp. Lawrence Towsend, of the Newhouse staff, has been Inspecting the great Cactus Cac-tus mine In Beaver county, and says that the rich chute on the 600-foot level has widened to twenty feet, while the shaft Is being sent down to greater depth from this level. Manager J. B. Risque of the Utah Consolidated, Con-solidated, has returned from the company's com-pany's general offices In the East and says that he has nothing new to give out regarding the new smelting site to be selected for this mammoth Bingham copper cop-per producer. It has been announced that the management man-agement of the Carisa mine in the Tin-tic Tin-tic district Is endeavoring to get a new contract with the local smelters, that will mean a saving to the company of at least $1 a a ton in the charges for treating treat-ing the product of the property. |
