Friday afternoon. after-noon. Mrs. Lake entertained about 100 guests st a bridge tea and last night sixty guests were preeent st a dancing party given by Mr. and Mra. Lake In the ballroom of their home. Interesting features of both affairs were patrlotlo eongs, among them a group recently composed by the talented tal-ented hostess. For the bridge tea, the tablea were arranged In the ballroom. From 4:10 to o'clock a most srtlsttc entertainment was provided for the guests. Little Virginia Dougall. the charming little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Dougall. gowned In ' a dainty colonial gown of Dresden silk, elanced a gavotte to the music of Mra. Lake's recent song. "My Grandma's Always Right." which was played by the Evana trio. Miss Naomi Hoffman gav a number num-ber of oriental and Interpretative dances, and by request gay a fetching dance, which she has composed to th music of Mrs. Lak' aucceaeful composition. com-position. "The Wasatch Fog Trot." Mlaa Katheiine Levering danced In costume a Dutch dene and also several sev-eral other fancy dances. Little Mies Dougall responded to an encore with a dainty rosebud dance. She was accompanied ac-companied by Miss Reeky Almond. Mrs. W. B. Msvo. Mrs. W. H. F. Cul-mer Cul-mer and Mrs. Welle Culmer assisted during the afternoon. During the paat few months Mra. Lake haa written the words and music i to a number of patriotic songa. which will undoubtedly receive Instant favor. The songs are being rcheatrated and will soon be heard at a local theatre Among them are "My Mother's Bong." "Salt Laks City." "United fltates Marching Song." "Our Navy Boys" and "Wasatch Waits " see Miss Pauline Tavlor entertained at a card party Tuesday evening at her home on Fast South Temple street honoring Mies Agnea Johnston, ons of the June brides. Ten tables were arranged ar-ranged for cards and a light supper wae served.
