Show JOBLESS COUNT PLANSMATURE Cards Received for 69,000 S. L. Homes Final instructions and materials i for the national unemployment census cen-sus were being received at the Salt Lake City postoffice Monday and Postmaster L A. Smoot and his staff scheduled a meeting for the afternoon after-noon to work out final plans for the count. Cards will be distributed to the 69.000 dwellings in the city on November No-vember 18. Additional cards will bo placed at hotels, tourist camps and will be available at the general delivery window at the postoffice, Postmaster Smoot said. Gus P. Backman, secretary of the chamber of commerce and chairman chair-man of a committee appointed by Mayor E. B Erwin to gain public support for the census, said that the committee will meet some time this week. Material for the committee's com-mittee's work was also being received, re-ceived, Mr. Backman reported. |
