Show Fillmore Gains Southern Title (Special to The Telegram) FILLMORE, Nov. 17 Fillmore Is In ths stat "B" division semifinals semi-finals as southern champion for the first time in four year and the second time in the history of the school as a result of its 38-4 triumph tri-umph over Delta in a playoff game here Tuesday. Although beaten, 6-0. by Delta In regular cdnferenc play, Fillmore finished the league race in a tie with Wasatch Academy and Delta, and after the Jackrabbit had eliminated elim-inated Wasatch Saturday the Eagle were favored to win Tuesday Tues-day playoff. The Jackrabbit started with a rush, scoring on a march straight down the field after the initial kickoff. Then the Eagles soared into the scoring column swiftly, counting twice in the first period, twice in the second and twice in the fourth. George Jackson, Fillmore quarterback, quar-terback, ran the aecond kickoff of the game through the entire Delta team 90 yards to the goal line, but the ball was brought back to midfield, where he had stepped out of bounds. The Eagle then drove steadily through the Delta line to score, Jackson carrying the ball over for the first three touchdowns. He then passed to Johnson for another score, and counted again in the final period. Jackson also counted both Fillmore's extra points. Palmer Pal-mer passed to Hutley for the final Fillmore score.
