Show STRIKE IN FOUNDRY MAY SHUUACTORY DETROIT. Nov. 17 Seventy-five Seventy-five employes In the foundry department depart-ment of the Cadillac Motor Car company began a sit-down strike today and company officials said a resultant parts shortage might close the entire plant, throwing 4000 persons per-sons out of work. The company attributed the strike to a wage dispute. Officers of the United Automobile Automo-bile Workers' union disclaimed knowledge of the strike, which, they said, was not authorized. |
