Show Salt Lake Postmen Will Spend Christmas Day With Families Salt Lake City's hard-working postmen may have holiday on Christmas, according to a bulletin received Wednesday by Pott-master Pott-master I. A. Smoot from Postmaster General James A. Farley. Mr. Farley contemplates all Christmas mail will ba delivered by midnight Friday, December 34, and that "all postal employes who can ba spared shall have the opportunity oppor-tunity to spend Christmas day with their families." ' Star routes will ba operated aa scheduled and mail to and from such routes will be handled aa on regular days, but there will be no city, village, rural or window services ser-vices Chrtstmaa day, tha bulletin aaid. "Gift parcels" will be the only exception, but their delivery will not interfere with postal employes spending tha holiday with their families. |
