The responsibility of the job rests with 80.000 rjostmen. including both city pavement pounders and rural carriers. Carriers in the Salt Lake City I office, likewise, have a real job j cut out for them. Cards must be delivered to 69.000 dwellings. Where mors than one member of the family fam-ily is unemployed and additional questionnaires are requested, the postmen will provide them. Some , 123.000 cards have been sent to 320 district postoffices in the state for distribution. This does not include i , Logan, Provo and Ogden. Farces Organised Already Postmaster 1. A. Twiggs, cashier, are helping help-ing with the direction. "Where the work of distributing ths census cards will overburden carriera, workers from ths substitute substi-tute list are being employed at the local office to handle the- regular mail delivery,' postmaster Smoot said. No unemployed person must be overlooked in the nose counting, officials of ths campaign have decreed. de-creed. Tha following information infor-mation la being sought: The number of unemployed persons per-sons in the country that are able to work; how old they are, and what percentage of tha unemployed are men and what percentage are women. How many parsons are partially employed and what ths sxtent of their income Is. Tha number of dependents in tha family and how many members are employed. Previous Pre-vious training and employment of the peraon, along with name, address, ad-dress, ags and race. The deadline for returning the questionnaires to the nearest mail boa or postoffice has been set for midnight of November 30. |
