Show Parents Return to Studies - y - AS GRANITE PARENTS TURNED BACK YEARS J. A. Butterwortfa talks with Mrs. Anna Doyle Fathers and Mothers Trade Places-With- Ghildrenf or-Day School bells rang again Thursday for some 350 parents of Granite junior high school students who participated in the third annual "parents-at-school day" program. While their children remained at home to attend to domestic duties they had deserted for the day, patrons went to school for half- time periods. 1 By regular school bus. Luncheon was served to the par-; ents st noon to break the tension of earnest study. Dr. Herbert B. Maw, president of the state senste, was guest speaker at an Armistice day assembly held at 1 p. m. In the Granite senior high school auditorium. Many who had been unable to participate in the morning activities attended the session. The program included patriotic pa-triotic music, readings and a salute to the colors, executed by students of the junior high school. i |
