Show CITY TO EXTEND SAFETYLIGHTS Decision to extend northward the Second West street safety lighting system so Wasatch Springs plunge patrons will receive benefits of the new lights was reached Tuesday by Salt Lake city commissioners. The original plan provided for lights of the sodium vapor type from Ninth South to Eighth North street. The extension will carry the system Just beyond the city-owned city-owned resort at 840 North Second West street Installation Is now being done to make the street, which had become be-come known as a "highway of death," safer for pedestrians and motorists. The lights are also scheduled to be installed on Ninth South street from Second West to State street, and on State street from Harvard avenue to Twenty-first South street. The State street Installation Installa-tion will be Incandescent lights. |
