Show TANGLE OF -.MATRIMONY Mrs. McCune Alleged to - HaYc Sued for Damages for Another's Death. John McCune was granted a divorce by Judge Stewart Friday, notwithstanding: notwithstand-ing: that his wife Mary A. McCune filed an answer to his complaint a week ago in which she denied that she was ever married to the plaintiff. McCune filed an action for divorce some time ago ncTalleged that Us wife had deserted him and that she was living liv-ing at Eureka with another man. Twice he had begged her to come back home and live with him but she refused to do so. In the taking of testimony Friday McCune's attorney produced a marriage certificate showing that the couple had been married In Salt Lake City by the Rev. Fred Morris of St. Mark's cathedral. cathe-dral. Witnesses testified that Mrs. McCune Mc-Cune had been living at Eureka-with a man named Christie and that they had lived together as man and wife. Christie Chris-tie was killed In the Bullion-Beck mine some time, ago and Mrs. McCune had brought suit to obtain damages for her alleged husband's death. |
