Pale, but calm and collected, Elisabeth Morrison, stylishly stylish-ly dressed, faced Judge McClellan In the Criminal court yesterday to be tried . . for her life for the murder of Richard Flnnegan, a CI icago contractor, last June. , Only in the slightest degree did she give evidence of the terrible nervous strain unJer which she labored. The trial promises prom-ises to be one of the most Interesting and sensational that Las ever taken place in Montana. Flnnegan was with Mrs. Morrison In a residence in the flat, at least, on the night n. which the tragedy occurred. Early . in the morning Finnegan ran screaming from the bouse, shot in three different places, and otherwise showing signs of a desperate struggle, and dropped in a faint on the floor of a near-by saloon. He was almost stark naked at the time. That ' night he died at the Sisters' ho.pital from his wounds. Investigation at' Finnegan's quarters showed that -a most bloody conflict had taken place. Furniture was broken, tables and beds overturned and blood smeared over the floors and walls of the house.
