Show VISIT FROM LABOR HEAD Secretary From F. of,L Makes Short Stop in Salt Lake. ' . i Frank Morrison of Chicago, secretary of the American Federation of Labor, was in Salt Lake for a few hours Thursday, on his way home from attending at-tending the big convention of the organization or-ganization In Sah Francisco. Mr. Morrison Mor-rison was detained there after the departure de-parture of the other delegates, being engaged in preparing the minutes of the convention. Mr. Morrison is one of the best known labor leaders in the country. He is a member of Chicago Typographical union and a member of the executive board of the International Typographical Typograph-ical union. He has represented the latter lat-ter body in the American Federation for a number of years and has held the office of secretary of the Federation for several terms.' Mr. Morrison says the San Francisco convention was one of the most successful suc-cessful ever held by the Federation. The affairs of the Federation, he says, were never In better shape and labor conditions generally are most favorable. During his stay here Mr. Morrison met a number of the labor leaders of Salt Lake and was much Impressed by what he saw in the city. . |
