Show VIOLENCE INSTRIKE Won-Unionist Set Upon in Brooklyn and Badly Cut by Three Men. NEW YORK. May 12. Strike violence vio-lence was resumed in Brooklyn today. Peter Voedsecker, a foreman in ' the Meyer & Anson Iron works, who refused re-fused to go on strike when the others quit, was set upon by three men while on his way to work, was badly cut and rendered unconscious. A Brooklyn carpenter who had been warned to quit on peril of his life was knocked down with a blow from a hammer ham-mer while on his way to work. One contractor had 400 men at work In places of the strikers on the upper west side section of the subway in Manhattan Man-hattan today. There were more policemen po-licemen than laborers guarding the subway and most of them carried night sticks. They had one clash with Italian Ital-ian strikers and quickly routed them. |
