According Accord-ing to mall advices received from South China, hundreds are dying in Kwangsi province as a result of the famine there. " Correfponder.ts writing from several sections say the destitution, suffering and jieath is appalling. Whole families are subsisting on a few ounces of rice a day I or on roots and leaves. Missionaries are rfeeding thousands daily. The famine is causing the rebellion re-bellion in that province to grow, as the poor are being dflven to violence to obtain food.
