He was born In New. York. In 1864, and Is a graduate of , the School of Mines . of Columbia University. He la also one of the very few. really expert as assayer, chemist and surveyor. He has passed about twenty years In the mining-and smelting smelt-ing business and has operated all the way from British Columbia. to Old' Mexico, speding several'yeara in the latter lat-ter country. :At present he la manager of ; the. Bingham and New Haven mine, the Utah and Eastern Copper company, also the Eureka. Ophlr Mining company. At one time he was engaged a a one of the superintendents for the American Smelting and Refining company. Being thoroughly qualified on the practical slda of the mining Industry, It Is not surprising therefore to learn of the marked success which he has achieved since his arrival here In 1903. Mr. Doollttle la a man who by his natural versatility' and by his extensive knowledge of mining Is especially fitted for a successful operator and promoter. He Is of excellent executive ability and keen perception and these qualifications have given him an enviable rep-- rep-- utatlon In mining circles throughout the entire inter-mountaln inter-mountaln country. |
