Show LOCAL VETERANS ON WAY TO ENCAMPMENT Twenty-five members of the Utah G. A. R. and a like number from Idaho left Salt Lake last evening, in a special car attached to the regular train over the Rio Grande, to attend the national enr campment at Minneapolis, which com. mences next Monday. Adjt.-Gen. R. G. Sleater of the department stated yesterday yes-terday afternoon that he believed not less than 60,000 veterans would be In line in the grand parade next Wednesday. Wednes-day. It is believed by Mr. Sleater and other local members that this city will capture cap-ture the encampment In 1909. Gen. Burton Bur-ton of Missouri will likely be elected as the next commander-in-chief. |
