The battle for possession of Fifth West street, between Fifth and Ninth streets, which the Rio Grande and the Oregon Short Line have been carrying on for some time, was carried into court yesterday. yester-day. The final arguments in the case will he heard on July 11. and meantime both roads have been guarding their interests in the street. The Rio Grande claims a right of way under a franchise granted by the City Council on January 27. The Oregon Shorir Line lays Its claims to a territorial grant made by' the United States Government to the Utah Central railroad. Pending the decision the Injunction granted the Rio Grande by Judge Morse will remain in forca. |
