Show OLD PROPERTY NOW VALUABLE Former Resident of "Salt Lake Bought Land in Alta Years Ago, Which May Mean a Fortune Now. J. M. Moore, a former' resident of this city, but now a resident of Albuquerque, N. M., has been in Salt Lake for the past few days looking up the title to some property which he owned at Alta. in Little Lit-tle Cottonwood canyon, many years ago. It is thirty years since Mr. Moore acquired ac-quired the title to the property, which consists of 160 acres almost in the heart of the district. A short time ago he happened to read in a paper that Alta was booming. He then remembered that many years ago he owned some property In that part of the world, and at once came to Salt Lake to look into the matter. When he arrived in this city he searched the records and other sources of information, with the result that a company known as the Alta Mining and Development company has been formed with a capital stock of 8300.000. Mr. Moore acquired the property by trading twenty acres of ground near Fort Douglas to Isadore Morris in the early seventies. |
