The chief influences for lower prices were favorable weather In the Southwest and increasing receipts in the Northwest. Pit traders were strongly inclined to the selling sell-ing side and there was heavy liquidation by prominent commission houses. May wheat opened unchanged to c lower, at 8181c. and sold down to 81 c. Minneapolis, Minne-apolis, Duluth and Chicago reported receipts re-ceipts of 403 cars against 213 a year ago. The corn market was steady, chiefly on weather conditions and higher cables. An official report declaring that the crop of Roumania would be this year 15,000 bushels below the average was a bullish influence.
