Show Fail to Railroad Bill. A motion to suspend the rules and take up the consideration of H. B. No. 1S8, a substitute measure by the Committee on Agriculture and Horticulture, for three bills providing for experiment stations as adjuncts to the Agricultural college, was made by Mr. Hawley. Wilson objected and moved that the bill be made a special order for 7:30 o'clock Wednesday evening. Kuchler objected, saying that he believed his measures that were Introduced were good enough, and that as the bill had just been placed on the desks of the members, they should be allowed to have time to consider It. and also to refer It to their constituents. The motion lost and the bill will take its regular course on the calendar. |
