Show RABBI FREUND TO THE Y. M, C. A. Delivers first of Series of Lectures on Jewish Jew-ish History. A large and enthusiastic audience greeted Rabbi Charles J. Freund at his opening lecture on Jewish history, given in the Y. M. C. A. auditorium last evening even-ing In connection wifh'"the association's educational work, the Rabbi outlined the coming course of lectures, showing the relation of Jewish history to general history, also giving reasons why the Jewish nation is still a vital personality personal-ity and not an archaeological curiosity. At the close of Rabbi Freund'i address ad-dress a general and enthusiastic discussion discus-sion took place. The course of lectures to be given will include two on the Babylonish Exile, followed by a study of Maccabean, Roman and early Christian Chris-tian periods. On each evening the lecture lec-ture will be followed by questions and discussions. Lectures will be given promptly at 7:30 p. in. on Monday evenings even-ings in the Y. M. C. A. auditorium. Three lectures are open to the general public and no admission is charged. |
