Show CITY PILES ITS ANSWER TO SUIT Declares the R. S. Blomc Company Did Not Lay Walks Properly. Salt Lake City, through its attorneys, Bramel & Dey, filed an answer in the District court this morning to the suit filed by the R. S. Blome company for I $1300. alleged to be due on a contract for the laying of cement sidewalks for the city. The answer contends that the company com-pany did not comply with the contract; that the material was not up to standard; stand-ard; that the mixing wis unworkmanlike: unworkman-like: that the concrete foundation was one and a half Inches below grade; that the laying of the cement was not done according to specifications; that the same was laid when the temperature was below the mark specified in the contract It is also alleged that 1211 feet of the walks laid will nave to be replaced at a cost of more than $933. For this reason, rea-son, the answer states, that the company com-pany is entitled to only $248.40, and the court Is asked to assess Judgment against the city for that amount. |
