Show IN f AVOR Or TREATY WITH SAN DOMINGO NEW YORK. Nov. 21 The foreign creditors cred-itors of the Dominican oGvemment have, tbrough their counsel, ex-Judge William, N. Cohen of this city, advised the State department at Washington that they favor fa-vor the passage ot the treaty with San Domingo. Jurtgi Cohen called on Secretary Root recently to express the preference of his clients, who are British. French and Belgian Bel-gian creditors, for the treaty, which means a guarantee of a settlement of th ir claims, which amount' to about $i.5fi0.nni. These creditors, however, it Is said, are not using any means to aid In the ratification of the treaty by the Senate Sen-ate the coming legislative session. |
