Show i BASEBALL GAME SCHEDULED HERE FRIDAY "Pickups" Defeat High School Team Sunday 12-3 in First Of Series of Games Scheduled i In the first of a series of baseball base-ball games scheduled here between be-tween the high school team and the "Pickups" a team consisting of fellows who are former players and returned servicemen the older team won by a lopsided 12-3 score, Monday night. Their next game is set for Friday, May 17. With LaMar, "Bet" Weight, "Nelly" Jensen, Stan Nielson, George Pehrson and DelMoine Christensen, forming a nucleus for the older group, the fellows are trying to revive the popular summer sum-mer sport here and are asking cooperation, co-operation, both from any prospective pros-pective players as well as townspeople. towns-people. If enough enthusiasm is shown, and enough fellows are interested in playing the game, the team will probably compete in the Central Utah baseball loop. In Monday's contest, the Pickups Pick-ups allowed the High' School club but three hits, collecting nine I themselves, from the school's two hurlers.
