Show LEGION AUXILIARY CONDUCTS MEETING The regular meeting of the Legion Auxiliary was conducted last Wednesday evening at Memorial Mem-orial hall, under direction of Mrs. Emma Long, president, with Mrs. Zola Gogarty in charge of the program. Interesting talks on child welfare wel-fare were given during the evening eve-ning by Mrs. Lawrence and Mr. Andrus of Provo, heads of the Utah county welfare program. Also Billie Bird and George Hales entertained . with ' vocal duets, accompanied by Mrs. Lloyd Bird and Norma Weight gave a vocal selection, accompanied by Jane Cherrington. Mrs. Delia Angus reported on the poppy poster contest and named the winners who were presented pre-sented with cash awards. Those receiving the awards were Rell Francis, Gwenda Haf en and Richard Beck. The meeting was featured by talks from visiting district president presi-dent and secretary from Eureka. In conclusion, tasty refreshments refresh-ments were served by the hostesses, hos-tesses, Mrs. Marjorie Frandsen, Mrs. Birdella Bearnson and Mrs. Bertha Conover. At the close of the meeting also the poppy sales chairmen, Mrs. Hazel Hafen and Mrs. Delia .Angus, distributed the poppies to members to be sold on Saturday, May 25. |
