Show MISSIONARY TO BE HONORED FRIDAY EVENING Lucillo Crandall Called To Eastern States; Will Leave Mon., May 20 A farewell testimonial program will be given Friday evening in the Second ward chapel in honor of Miss Lucille Crandall, daugh- r ;v - . j ..- " j i' ' . ' " ............ ' ter of Mr. and Mrs. Welby Crandall, Cran-dall, who leaves soon on a mission mis-sion to the eastern states. The program, under direction of the missionary committee, begins at 7:30 p. m., and all ward members mem-bers and friends are invited. The program will open with the song, "O Ye. Mountains High," followed by invocation by Leo G. Robertson. The high school girls' Glee club will furnish two numbers, directed direct-ed by Golden Hansen. There will be a scriptural reading by Mrs. Janet Crandall, followed by an organ selection by Mrs. Mary S. Boyer. Hilton Robertson will be the principal speaker and remarks will be made by Bishop Oliver j Dalton and also by Miss Crandall. Cran-dall. Mrs. Jessie Dalton and Mrs. Mae Groesbeck will give a vocal duet and Ted Davis and Carl Crandall will render a saxaphone duet. The closing song will be "God Be With You 'Til We Meet Again,'1 followed by prayer by Dr. D. E. Ottesen. Miss Crandall leaves for the mission home in Salt Lake City May 20, and the following week for the mission headquarters. Formerly a 1st lieut. in the army nurses' corps, Miss Crandall served ser-ved for many months in the European Euro-pean theater in hospital stationed station-ed directly behind the front lines. |
