Show NAIL SHORTAGE TO DISAPPEAR BY END OF YEAR The shortage of nails which has plagued builders and householders since V-J day, due to strikes, is easing these days and will be licked toward the end of 1947 if not before, manufacturers report. Nail production records established estab-lished in 1946 are now exceeded, and prospects for the rest of the year are bright, barring unforeseen work stoppages. The industry now is working toward to-ward a monthly production level of 80,000 net tons of nails. |
