All express willingness to pay for treatment when they are brought to the hospital by police ambulance or are brought in after an accident, but often they back up their promise with a fictitious name. "If a person is prosperous enough to drive a car, one would think he could pay a $3 to $5 bill for bandage treatment," said W. M. Swan, cashier, "but nevertheless neverthe-less we get about four statements a week returned, saying 'no such address listed' or 'addressee unknown un-known at this address.' |
