Show Sixth Enters Tourney Via Stake Title Climaxing a highly successful M-Men basketball season in Kolob Stake, the stake schedule was completed here last Monday night with the championship playoff between be-tween the Sixth and Second ward teams. Displaying championship ball playing, both teams put on one of the nicest, best played ball game seen this year. Sixth emerged victorious with a 44-36 score. FINAL M MEN STANDINGS W. L. Pet. Starting off with a quick basket by Stanger in the third quarter, Second tied up the game and went out in front to lead at the end of the canto. Roger Collett, who came into the game early in the final quarter, started a rally for Sixth with two timely baskets and a foul toss, to knot the count up and Sixth went on to take the lead and hold Second Sec-ond under control 'til gun time. Clark counted 18 points for Sixth and Childs rang up 16 for Second, besides playing one of the best games of his basketball career. Fifth defeated the Fourth in their final M-Men game played here last Thursday, 28-27, in a hair-raising, last-second win. It was big Ray Black who tipped in a missed charity toss by Jones that put the Fifth out in front after they had been trailing throughout the entire contest. He counted 14 points for the winners. Owen Sumsion dunked in 12 for the losers. ' First, led by Blaine Johnson and Lynn Bjarnson, with 14 and 13 respectively, dumped the Third ward, 46-23, to place third in the final standings.
