Show Plans Completed For Annual Federated Womens Club Tea Scheduled Saturday, At Art Gallery - An array of the work of noted artists is the incentive again this year for the annual Art Tea, given by the Springville Spring-ville Federated Women's Clubs for Federated club women of the state. .The tea will be given Saturday at the high school Art Gallery, from 3 p. m. until 6 p. m., and in connection wtih the social event the visiting club women will be given a special invitation to tour the galleries informally. Members of the Springville clubs will be in attendance to answer questions and otherwise assist the visitors and welcome them throughout the afternoon. Attendance at the annual art tea event is by invitation only, and arrangements are being made by the Springville ladies to entertain approximately 400 guests. The visitors will be received in the entrance hall of the Art building, build-ing, and serving will be in the Little Lit-tle Theater of the Art building. The general committee for this year's event is made up of the presidents of the eight federated clubs now functioning in Spring ville. Mrs. Finley Roylance of Pari Passu, as general chairman, is being assisted by Mrs. Richard Huntington, Mothers Study; Mrs. Jack Perham, Home Culture; Mrs. Lorraine Beach, Aureole; Mrs, Orvil Bray, Juene Mere; Mrs. George Bird, Cultural Arts; Mrs. Sterling Price, Alpha Beta; and Mrs. W. L. Schreiner, Ladies Literary. Lit-erary. Mrs. F. C. Packard will have charge of the reception committee, commit-tee, and Mrs. Charles Franks and Mrs. Orvil Clark are at the head of the program committee. Refreshments Re-freshments are being planned by Mrs. Del Moine Christensen. Mrs. Ed. Johnson, Mrs. Alma Miner, Mrs. Paul Haymond, Mrs. Wilford Beisinger; and Mrs. Lee R. Taylor is in charge of the serving. Mrs. Beulah Whiting, Miss Martha Bird, Mrs. John Y. Bearnson, Mrs. W. W. Brockbank, and Mrs. Carl Poulsen are assisting Mrs. Harold Whiting in the decorations. Mrs. E. L. Holt, Mrs. Arthur Finley, Mrs. Paul Thorn and Mrs. Harrison Conover constitute the publicity committee. In addition to club members, special invitations have been sent to Mrs.' J. Bracken Lee, Mrs. A. Merlin Steed, who, with her husband, hus-band, recently bestowed the famous fa-mous $100,000 art collection to the Springville gallery; Mrs. Sterling Price, all Utah's lady artists; Mrs. O. J. Kingston, state 'president of Women's Federated clubs; Mrs. Wendell Erlandsen, district president; presi-dent; other state and district officers; offi-cers; the wives of the Art board, lady teachers of the local senior and junior high school, and the society editors of the various newspapers. Mrs. Cahrles Boyer and Mrs. Bert Cherrington, who comprise the invitation committee, report that most of these have signified sig-nified their intentions to attend. |
