Show Relatives, Friends At Services For Accident Victim A number of Springville relatives rela-tives and friends were at Layton Tuesday afternoon to attend the funeral services for four-year-old Ross Whitesides. son of Mr. and Mrs. Evan A. and Erma Patrick Whitesides, and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Patrick of this city, who was fatally injured in an automobile accident Saturday. A. G. Peterson of Kolob stake presidency was one of the speakers at the services. Burial was in the cemetery at Layton. The accident occurred on Highway High-way U-232, which is the southern approach to the Hillfield main gate, as the child attempted to cross the street from his home to that of a cousin. Officers estimated the car which struck the little boy was traveling travel-ing between 40 and 50 miles at the time of the accident. He was born in Neosho, Mo., January 18, 1945, and moved with his parents to Layton about three years ago. Surviving are his parents, a sister sis-ter Linda, and four grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Whitesides of Layton, and Mr. and Mrs. John Patrick, Springville. |
