Show DOG OWNERS WARNED ON PAYING FEES City officials are again issuing warning to dog owners that unless the license fees on the animals are paid by March 1, such owners will find themselves in the hands of the law. It was explained that anyone owning a dog on which a license has not been paid by March 1, that person will be guilty of a misdemeanor misde-meanor and upon conviction thereof there-of will be subject to a fine of not more than $50 or imprisonment for not more than 30 days, or both. The new ordinance stressing an increased dog license, sets forth that a $2.50 fee must be paid by owners of male dogs and $10 for females. The animals must be tagged with a metal license plate on his collar, it is stated. Owners will be expected to come to the city hall to pay their license fees. |
