Show DISEASE DECREASE SHOWN IN REPORT A total of 351 case sof communicable commun-icable diseases was reported tot he State Dept. of Health by physicians physic-ians and health officers for the week ending Jan. 17, 1947, as compared com-pared with 435 cases last week. Ringworm of the scalp was just recently made a reportable disease by the State Board .of. Health. During the past week 61 cases were reported two from Salt Lake City and 59 from Utah county. There were eight cases of measles meas-les reported during the last week as compared with 52 cases for the same week last year. Measles is a particularly dangerous disease for infants and children under five years of age as the majority of deaths attributable to measles occur oc-cur in those age groups. |
