Show CONTROLS STILL ON SOME TYPES OF CONSTRUCTION Government limitations on nonresidential non-residential construction will continue con-tinue for at least sveral months, Washington, D. C, officials have informed Arnold M. Seller, district dis-trict manager here of the Civilian Production Administration construction con-struction division, Office of Temporary Tem-porary Controls. Again, Mr. Seiler reiterated that controls on non-housing construction construc-tion have not been lifted, but remain re-main in effect on behalf of preventing pre-venting non-essential construction from diverting critical materials from housing. Lifting of priorities regulations has given rise to a widespread but erroneous belief that authorization for non-housing construction no longer is necessary. Applications must still be filed for approval. Veterans Housing Program Order Or-der 1, under which CPA controls non-housing construction, will continue con-tinue indefinitely and no major changes are contemplated at this time in its administration, said Mr. Seiler. |
