Show Jaycees To Elect New Officers At Wednesday Meet Election of officers for the coming com-ing year, will take up a major portion of the time at the Junior Chamber of Commerce meeting meet-ing next Wednesday evening, announces President Bob Parker. The meeting will be held at Chicken Chick-en Roost at the regular time 8 o'clock. President Parker also announces that all dues are due April 1 and to be eligible to vote for the coming com-ing year's officers club members should have their dues in. "Old Timers" took over the Springville Jaycee meeting Wednesday Wed-nesday night, and demonstrated to the younger members what local Jaycees have accomplished since they were organized nearly a decade ago. Featured speaker for the evening eve-ning was Jack Swenson, Spanish Fork, well known in Jaycee circles cir-cles throughout the state for his many activities and true Jaycee spirit. Kay Johnson, past presi-den presi-den of the club and also past (Continued on page 2) Jaycees To Elect New Officers (Continued from page 1) state secretary, state vice-president of the club and also past state secretary, state vice-president, and national director, told the group about the initial organization organ-ization and the progress that has been made. The many trophies won by the local club were also on display. Glen Wilson entertained with accordion numbers, and Deal Mendenhall played the piano and led in community singing. In charge of the meeting was Glenn Hansen, second president, and in attendance were four other past presidents: Grant Thorn, Kay Johnson, A. H. Mortensen, and Ray Klauck. The other three, Ernest Boyer, Verl Whiting, and Ray Richards were out of town and unable to attend. |
