Show 'Red Devil Tennis Teams Win Nebo Title No. 1 Doubles Team and No. 1 Singles Players To Compete In Region Three Meet Friday At B. Y. U. Stadium Springville high school's tennis teams wons the 1945 Nebo district dis-trict tennis crown by defeating the visiting Spanish Fork clubs here Tuesday 3-1. Coach DelMoine Christensen's netters won every match played except one and that was tied with Spanish Fork when the two schools met at Spanish Fork in the early part of their schedule. Last Thursday, the Red Devils defeated the B. Y. High school 3-1 and won a forfeit game scheduled sched-uled with Provo. The Springville No. 1 doubles team, Davis and Palfreyman, will compete in the Region Three meet Friday at Provo Pro-vo as will the No. 1 singles player, play-er, Bird or Eggertsen. Winners and runners-up in the district meet will enter the state meet scheduled for May 12 on the U. courts in Salt Lake City. In Thursday's matches, Davis and Palfreyman, Springville No. 1 doubles team, defeated Swenson and Swenson of the B. Y. High, 6-0, 6-3. Bjarnson and Dalton, Springville No. 2 doubles, defeated defeat-ed Brown and Stahlie, 7-5, 6-4. In the No. 1 singles, Kirkpatrick defeated de-feated Bird, Springville, 8-6, 7-9, 8-6. Eggertsen defeated Raw-lings, Raw-lings, B. Y., 8-6, 7-5. Tuesday's results with Spanish Fork here follow: No. 1 singles Bowen, Sp. Fork, defeated Bird, Spr. 6-4, 4-6, 19-17.
