Show KIWANIS CLUB CONDUCTS ART LUNCHEON Program And Talk On Art Collection By Glenn Turner Features Meeting Members of the Kiwanls club and their partners spent an enjoyable en-joyable evening last Thursday at their annual Art Night luncheon and program. The group met at Memorial hall for luncheon early in the evening. eve-ning. A. E. Jacobsen was toast-master, toast-master, and attendance awards went to Mrs. Ed Clyde and Bill Whitney. During the luncheon, vocal solos were given by Jocye Lee-Master, Lee-Master, accompanied by Norma Brockbank, and vocal duets were given by Katherine aMrtindale and Barbara Bird, accompanied by Mary Elizabeth Alleman. Vann Allstylne of the B. Y. U., entertained enter-tained with vocal solos, and Beth Averett and Dick Wilkins with readings. Guests of the club were, Calvin Cal-vin Brown of the U. S. Navy; Major Warwick Palfreyman, Lt. Mays W. Anderson, SSgt. Lamar Boyer, and Lt. Leon Bird, a former for-mer club member. After the luncheon, members and guests assembled at the Art Gallery, where interesting items in connection with paintings in the permanent art collection were explained by Glenn Turner. The next meeting of the club ! was announced for May 10, at which time A. O. Packard will act as toastmaster, and John E. Booth of Spanish Fork, Utah-Idaho Utah-Idaho Kiwanis District Governor, will be the speaker. |
