Show 'JR. CHAMBER TO HEAR TALK BY GAME OFFICIAL J. D. Ford Of State Fish And Game Farm, To Speak At Meeting This Evening A regular membership meeting of the Jaycees will be conducted this evening at Memorial Hall, beginning be-ginning at 8 p. m., announces Verl Whiting, president. The program for the evening is under direction of Steve Miller, who has secured J. D. Ford, superintendent su-perintendent of the state Fish and Game Farm, as the speaker. He will discuss sports and recreation and in connection with his talk, will show a number of interesting wild life pictures portraying the growth and development of fish in this state. The meeting and program is expected to be of much interest to members. The Junior Chamber of Commerce Com-merce also wishes to remind townspeople of the annual Cleanup, Clean-up, Paint-Up contest and the Victory Vic-tory Garden contest, in which few entries have up to date been made. The Paint-Up, Clean-Up contest closes on Tuesday, May 15, and the individual whose property is entered in the contest and is judged as having been most improved im-proved will receive a $10 cash award and a gallon of point. The Victory Garden contest will close on June 15, and entries are expected to get in soon. A $10 cash award is offered the individual indiv-idual with the best garden centered in the contest. Entry blanks may be secured from Jaycee officers or at the Herald office. Mell Haymond is chairman of the contests and other details concerning con-cerning the project may be had by contacting him. |
