Show Coming Events ... Junior Fireside Chat Members of the Junior Fireside will meet at the home of Elaine Ashcraft, 1284 East Center St., on Sunday at 8:30 p. m. The group will continue a study of the Book of Mormon, with all young people of the stake between the ages of 13 and 17 years, invited. Alplia Beta Club " Members of the Alpha Beta club will entertain at a party at Wild-wood, Wild-wood, Provo canyon this afternoon, after-noon, in compliment to the retiring re-tiring president, Mrs. H. M. Weight. S. T. Club Mrs. J. W. Grant will be hostess hos-tess to members of the S. T. club at her home this evening, beginning begin-ning at 8 p. m. Navy Mothers The Navy Mothers will conduct a regular meeting on Wednesday, June 26, beginning at 8 p. m., at Memorial hall, with Mrs. Mabel Kindred and Mrs. Ellen Giles arranging ar-ranging a program. Mrs. D. B. Welch will give a book review and all Navy Mothers are urged to be present. Third Ward Elders The Third ward Elders will entertain en-tertain at an outing Friday, beginning be-ginning at 6 p. m., at Kelly's Grove, Hobble Creek canyon, for members of the Quorum and partners. part-ners. Mrs. Sadie Hutchings and Mrs. Mary Marsh have just returned from Denver, Colorado, where they went to see Stanley Hutchings, Hutch-ings, who recently underwent a major operation on his lungs, at Fitzsimmons hospital. Mrs. Belle Woodruff of Carlsbad, Carls-bad, Calif., has arrived in the city to spend several weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Inez Chader, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Huntington Hunt-ington and daughter Dickie visited visit-ed Miss Luella Huntington at the L.D.S. hospital in Salt Lake City this week. She has been selected as one of five girls from the hospital hos-pital to complete her training at the Veterans Administrative hospital hos-pital at Palo Alto, Calif. Mrs. J. W. Torzillo (Marjorie Clark) and son Johnnie of Tooele have spent the last two weeks in Springville with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Clark, while Mr. Torzillo was on business in New Mexico and Arizona. |
