Show SOUTHEAST UTAH GETS PUBLICITY Norman Nevills of Mexican Hat, San Juan County Utah is declared by Neil M. Clark, "Saturday Evening Eve-ning Post" writer in the May 18th issue to be the "world's No. 1 fastwater man." That's saying a man whose fastwater rapid-shoot-lot in behalf of this Utah boating boat-ing record cannot be equalled. As every boy in Utah knows, or should know, Norman Nevills spends his summers taking tourists down the San Juan river from Mexican Hat, Utah to Lee's Ferry, Arizona, a San Juan-Colorado river riv-er trip of some 200 miles. And so popular are proving the trips that reservations must be made months in advance. Those who have made the voyage declare it to be a "highlight "high-light of a lifetime.'" Anyway Norman's Nor-man's river expeditions are proving prov-ing a huge success and he is putting put-ting San Juan county on the map. The article on Norman certainly certain-ly put San Juan in the public eye, for it is accompanied by seven photos in natural color of Utah's little known southeastern attractions. |
