Show RAILROAD CIRCUS COMING TO THIS VICINITY SOON This vicinity will feel the lure of the circus when Dailey Bros. Three-Ring Railroad Circus presents pre-sents performances at 3 and 8 p. m., at Provo, Saturday, June 22. Not a truck show but a modern three-ring circus traveling aboard its own special train of 25 double-length double-length railroad cars, Dailey Bros., recognized as one of America's largest circuses, will present two-hours two-hours of the world's greatest circus cir-cus entertainment at both matinee mati-nee and evening performances. A featured attraction is "Tillie," the world's only talking elephant. The only elephant ever trained for this feat, "Tillie" unleashes a verbal ver-bal barrage against another member mem-ber of the herd for a blunder during dur-ing the act. Other members of the herd of 15 huge elephants walk a tight wire, roll a barrel across the ring" and perform other intricate routines under direction of pretty Norma " Davenport, at 15 the world's youngest elephant trainer. An outstanding feature of the Dailey Bros. Circus is the $50,-000 $50,-000 horse fair. Scores of beautiful beauti-ful palominos, stallions and pintos include such famous blue ribbon winners as "Lipstick," "Black Diamond," Dia-mond," and "Major." Directed by Miss Hazel King, premier horsewoman horse-woman of circusdom, the horses present many beautiful and intricate intri-cate routines. The circus carries a huge menagerie men-agerie of animals from the far corners of the earth. It is the only circus on tour to carry, among scores of other animals, a pair of polar bears. There is no extra charge for the menagerie and tents for the huge horse fair are arranged ar-ranged to provide easy access from the menagerie tent. The two-hour program features such famous stars at Si Kitchie, Filipinio head balancer; the Escal-ante Escal-ante and Acevedos troupes of acrobats and many others. Jeff Murphree, world famous clown, heads a troupe of 20 clowns in a constant series of new and original rib-tickling antics. Doors will open an hour prior to performance time for both matinee and evening performances to allow ample time for free inspection in-spection of the huge menagerie and horse fair. Performances will be presented rain or shine. |
