Previously he attended conventions at Provo, Logan and Ogden. Dr. L. E. Ottesen of this city, attended the Utah State Dental convention conducted last Thursday, Thurs-day, Friday and Saturday, at Hotel Utah, Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Einer Bjarnson of San Diego, Calif., are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Charles Conover and other oth-er relatives and friends in Springville. Spring-ville. Mrs. Adell H. Johnson of Salt Lake City, was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Conover several days of the past week. - Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Hartley, Mrs. Callis A. Pitcher and Mr. and Mrs. Harold P. Miner were Father's Day guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul C. Miner. Mrs. Eugene Eyre of Lyman, Wyo., has returned to her home after several days' visit with Mr. and Mrs. Paul C. Miner. She came here especially to attend the funeral of Mr. and Mrs. Miner's grandchild, who was fatally injured in-jured in a truck accident in Salt Lake City. Mrs. LeRoy Higgison and son Lee, of Green River, Wyo., are visiting vis-iting Mrs. Higgison's mother, Mrs. Estelle Wixom and other Springville Spring-ville relatives and friends. Lt. and Mrs. Harold May of West Va., were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul C. Miner at their home Saturday. Mrs. Owen B. Wright has returned re-turned to her home in Hurricane after attending the M.I.A. conference confer-ence in Salt Lake and spending a week with her mother, Mrs. Wells Crandall, and other relatives and friends in Springville. Mrs. Florence Kent of Long Island, Is-land, N. Y., wife of the co-pilot who was killed in the same plane on which Jack Child was a gunner in the South Pacific, recently visited vis-ited the Child family here to find out more facts in connection with the death of her husband. Jack also returned recently from Denver Den-ver where he visited the family of another victim of the plane crash in which he narrowly escaped with his life. Clark Madsen of Minneapolis, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jensen Jen-sen (Margaret Madsen) and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Rasband (Myrl Madsen) Mad-sen) of Salt Lake City spent Father's Fa-ther's Day at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Parley Madsen. Mad-sen. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Gudmundson and children of Ely, Nev., were 1 guests of Mr. and Mrs! Carlisle Crandall and family, here, enroute to their home from a recent visit in Kansas a Mr. and Mrs. Sargent Rice (Priscilla Gudmundson) and two children visited relatives here the past week on their way from Washington to make their home in Los Angeles, Calif., where Mr. Rice will be enrolled in a dental school. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Johnson John-son and children, June and Clyde, spent an enjoyable four days fishing fish-ing at Fish Lake. They reported good fishing but plenty of wind. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Grant were among those who spent the opening open-ing of the fishing season' at Fish Lake. |
