Show 'local girl is given credit for saving boy A Springville girl, Miss Laura Banner, physical education instructor instruc-tor at Pleasant Grove who will be employed at American Fork next year, has been given the credit with R. McKinley Eastmond, ex-navy ex-navy man, of saving the life of an American Fork boy while he was swimming at Saratoga. According to a story in the American Fork paper, the boy left the crowd which was being supervised super-vised by Miss Banner, and went to swim in an indoor pool. He was brought from the pool in an unconscious condition and Miss Banner, with Mr. Eastmond, worked work-ed on him and hour and fifteen minutes until other help arrived. Both Miss Banner and Mr. Eastmond East-mond are accredited life savers. |
