Show LEGION POST TO INSTALL NEW OFFICERS Dept., District Officers To Be Guests At Outing This Evening Installation of officers of the newly organized American Legion Post No. 46 of this city, will be conducted in connection with an outing at Pole Haven, Hobble Creek canyon this evening, Thursday. Thurs-day. The entertainment will also be in the form of an initiation of all members of the new post, No. 46, and they in addition to prospective prospec-tive members of the post, are urged urg-ed to be present. During the evening, members of Post No. 28, all of whom are expected ex-pected to attend the outing, will conduct a short business meeting to elect new officers. All are expected to meet at Memorial hall at 5:30 p. m., and from this point will proceed to the canyon picnic. Clay Beesley, commander of Post No. 28, is in charge of the entertainment which will include ball games, program . and lunch. Several department and district officials are expected to attend the outing 'and will participate in the installation of the new post officers. Jim Dalgleish of Myton, department depart-ment commander; A. S. Horsley, Salt Lake City, department adjutant; adju-tant; J. A. Miller, Springville, department de-partment vice-commander; Dave Forsey of Pay son, district commander; com-mander; Fred Adamson, district vice-commander and George Larsen Lar-sen of Tooele, past department commander, are expeced to attend. at-tend. Ted O. Thorn will be installed commander of the new post; Fin-ley Fin-ley Roylance, first vice-commander; Orval L. Harmer, second vice-commander; vice-commander; Edwin J. Johnson, and Blaine Johnson, sergeants-at-arms; George Bird, chaplain; Vayne Zobell, historian. |
