Show 'MISSIONARY TO LEAVE FROM FOURTH WARD Waldo Jacobsen Leaving July 3, Will Be Given Farewell Program Sunday 1 Waldo Jacobsen will leave July 3, to fill a mission in the New England states. A son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Jacobsen, he is being called from the Fourth ward. He f " t. ?, , ; ' -v. I ( ' X , - : . I . - " - - t J -' -el - will leave for the mission home on Monday, June 24. In his honor, a farewell testimonial testi-monial will be given in the Fourth ward chapel Sunday, beginning at 6 p. m., to which all members of the ward and friends are invited. Immediately after the farewell, an open house reception will be given at the Jacobsen home for the departing missionary and his bride, the former Miss Marian Davis. The testimonial will begin with a vocal trio by Thayne, Dean and Maurice Bateman. Glen W." Sum-sion Sum-sion will offer the opening prayer. An organ and piano duet will be given by Mrs. Alberta Hoover and Mrs. Betty Sumsion followed by a scriptural reading by Mrs. Wm. Schreiner. Remarks will be made by Bishop Leo G. Robertson, Bishop S. L. Mendenhall, Jr., by) Ted Miller, Bishop Glen A. Chris-tensen Chris-tensen and A. E. Jacobsen with remarks by the honored Missionary. Mission-ary. Mrs. Alene Peterson will give two vocal numbers during the evening and the benediction will be by Bishop W. A. Bateman. Elder Jacobsen recently given a discharge from the service, has been enrolled at the B. Y. U. |
