One ! guest who had attended the last seven national governors' conferences confer-ences said that nowhere had they experienced such friendliness, such hospitality, nor enjoyed such fine , and interesting experiences as in Utah, according to report from the 'f: Utah Dept. of Publicity. f 'GOVERNORS SEE MANY SCENIC SPOTS IN UTAH The Governors and their fami-i fami-i lies are gone, but they are still talking about Utah and so are fifty fif-ty members of the Nation's press who came to cover the national Governors' conference. The most impressive event of the conference was ,the Alpine aour July 17 carried out under the auspices of the publicity division of the State Dept. of Publicity and Industrial Development and other state departments. The party consisted con-sisted of 282 persons. They saw the Geneva Steel plant, thrilled to the beauty of Provo canyon. They ate luncheon at Aspen Grove, one of the most picturesque spots in the Rockies, crossed over the 8500-foot 8500-foot summit and came down the magnificent American Fork canyon.. can-yon.. At Bingham, the party threaded thread-ed its way up the narrow main street through the long tunnel and finally arrived at a spectacular vantage point over the huge pit in time to see the blasting at 3:45 p. m. At Saltair they were glad to bathe in the cool waters of the lake and the evening was climaxed with a dinner served in the Saltair dining Toom. 1 The guests were visibly impress-, ed with everything experienced during the trip and left Utah pleased and thrilled.
