Show RECKLESS DRIVING TICKETS ISSUED AFTER 3 CAR CRASH Two reckless driving citations ' were issued by the state highway patrol Friday night following a three-car accident near the overpass over-pass south of Springville. The accident involved the Springville Spring-ville police car, which was rammed from behind by another machine as the police car was chasing a speeding driver ahead. Marvin Jensen, 27, Spanish Fork, was cited for reckless driving by State Highway Patrolman Owen Beardall, when Jensen lost control ' of his car, rolled it over and skidded skid-ded it 200 feet as he was being pursued by Springville Policemen G. S. Briggs and Ted Thorn. The Springville officers said they clocked Jensen at 75 miles per hour when the accident occurred. Jensen suffered face cuts but was pronounced in satisfactory condition condi-tion Saturday at the Utah Valley hospital. S. W. Carter, 2001 West Sixth South, Provo, a passenger, also suffered face cuts but was released from the hospital Saturday Satur-day morning. John K. Bailey, of Springville, third occupant of the car, was uninjured. Larry Bowen, 16, Spanish Fork, received the second citation for reckless driving after he rammed the police car as the latter slowed down in the cloud of dust created by Jensen's crash. The Spring-: ville officers declared Bowen was following the police car too closely at too great a speed for safety. safe-ty. Two others riding with Bowen were uninjured. The Springville officers escaped w"ith minor bruises. Damage to the Jensen car was Hsted at $500 to $600. The police car and Bowen machine suffered about $200 damage each. !
