Show Sunrise Service Set By Ward July 24th Ward Observance Is Only One Planned In City : Majority Of Townspeople Will Join In Salt Lake City Celebration A 21th ol July observance is scheduled by the Sixlh ward of Springville in the form of a Sunrise Service on the morning ol the 21th. at 5:30 a. m., according to officers of the M. I. A., who have arrange- ments in charge. The service will be conducted one mile east of the new oiled road in Hobble Creek canyon. A guide will be on the road to direct all members of the ward to the present pres-ent site, according to Mrs. Virginia Ivey, Y. W. M. I. A. president. The program will commemorate in songs and verbal tribute, the early settlers of Springville and Utah, and a special invitation is extended to all members of the Sixth ward to be present. The Sunrise service will be the - only formal observance of the 24th of July in Springville, a majority of townspeople having signified their intention of joining in the big Pioneer Day celebration in Salt Lake City or will go to canyon resorts for the day. |
